Vaginal cancer

/upload/vagina/vagina.gifThe most common form of vaginal cancer is squamous epithelial carcinoma, which constitutes about 2/3 of all cases.

Other rare forms are melanoma, adenocarcinoma, undifferentiated carcinoma, leiomyosarcoma, and sarcoma botryoides.  

Incidence 

Primary vaginal cancer is extremely rare. 17 new cases were registered in Norway in 2013 (4). The average age of occurrence is 60 years.
