Symptoms of nasal and sinus cancer are often non-specific. Tumors are therefore often advanced at the time of diagnosis.
Possible symptoms may be:
- nasal discharge
- bleeding from the nose
- unilateral nasal obstruction
Late symptoms may be:
- swelling in the cheek/buccal fold
- increased tearing or epiphora
- dislocation of bulbus
- palate swelling
- reduced sensitivity in the cheek or chin due to infiltration of tumor along the second or third branch of the trigeminal nerve, respectively.
Tumor in the maxillary sinus may lead to loosening of teeth or ill-fitting dentures (2).
