Acute lymphatic leukemia
Photomicrograph of MGG-stained bone marrow from patient with ALL, L2. Blasts with relatively abundant (vacuoles?), and in this case aslo vacuoles in cytoplasm. Cytochemical staining and immunophenotyping is necessary to clarify line population and maturity grade. Vacuoles in cytoplasm give differential prognostic problems opposite L3, but cytoplasm is less basophilic with L2. Vacuoles in cytoplasm are not typical for L2.
